New Bridgewater Bridge Project Team

Building a new Bridgewater Bridge is Tasmania’s largest ever transport infrastructure project. It will strengthen Tasmania’s national highway, connect local communities and fix the missing link between the Brooker Highway and Midland Highway.

The New Bridgewater Bridge project team is responsible for all aspects of the project including design development, procurement, planning approvals, delivery and stakeholder management.

It has been almost four decades since a bridge of this scale has been built in Tasmania, and the team has been working closely with a group of specialist consultants, and contractor McConnell Dowell, to develop an innovative design that will meet the needs of the community now and well into the future.
