Equity

An equitable workplace is one where all current and future employees have access to the same opportunities, resources and recognition in a way that allows them to contribute to the department’s objectives, goals and successes.

This may mean different treatment for different groups in order to overcome barriers to access and participation.

Inclusion

An inclusive workplace is one where employees feel welcome, valued, respected and heard and can speak up without fear of embarrassment or retribution.
